5 Reasons to Have a Life Coach
I may be a little biased here, but I can think of like a billion reasons why someone would want to use a life coach. But I figured that your time is more valuable than that and perhaps you’d like me to limit this to the Top 5. If you want more reasons, then feel free to message me and I’ll start sending you more reasons. Alphabetically if you’d like.
Reason to have a life coach #1:
High performance people have coaches. Look at every top athlete on the planet. They have coaches to help them achieve their goals. They win medals. They get big endorsement deals. They grace the cover of Wheaties boxes. Are you on the cover of a Wheaties box? Perhaps if you had a coach, you would be.
Every high level executive has a coach. The President of the United States has coaches. (He can afford more than one because we’re paying for his staff.) A coach keeps you accountable to your own dreams, goals, and aspirations. A coach never tells you what the answer is; they help you find the answer inside of yourself. Think Michael Phelps could have gotten all of those gold medals if he didn’t have a coach pushing him to go further than he thought possible?
Reason to have a life coach #2:
Your friends will not tell you the truth. Ever ask your friend for advice? They simply cannot be objective. Nor should they be. They’re your friends. They are supposed to support you, encourage you, and generally do what friends do. A coach is not your friend. A coach is not part of your family. A coach is not your boss (or your mentor). A coach is an objective person who can hold a mirror up to your face and say “Do you like what you see?”
That can be tough for anyone within your inner circle to do. You need an objective person in your life who can be a sounding board, a confidant, and an ass-kicker.
Reason to have a life coach #3:
It is time for you to get on with your life. The time for stagnation has come and gone. You can continue to lay in the cesspool of broken dreams and failed promises. Or, you can pick yourself up out of the muck, wipe yourself off (ok, maybe you need to take a shower or something because that stuff is gross), and say to the world “I’m not going to take this laying down.”
A life coach is all about moving your life forward, and won’t take any of your little baby excuses. Your coach will spot the b.s. faster than swine flu spreading in Mexico City. And you’ll be better off for it.
Reason to have a life coach #4:
You deserve it. You deserve to have the best life possible. You deserve love, peace, happiness, abundance, joy, and lollipops. (Just checking to see that you’re still reading carefully, don’t want you to miss anything.) But seriously, folks, isn’t it time you have the life you dream about, instead of the life you find yourself settling for?
Reason to have a life coach #5:
Life is better with a coach. Everyone I know (me included) says that life is “dramatically better” with a coach. The challenges, issues, “stopages”, road blocks and whining all go away. You’re left with a life of fulfillment, peace, and love. And roses. You get more roses if you have a coach. They’re metaphorical roses, of course, but they’re still roses.
So, now that you know you need a coach. How do you go about finding one? That’s the easiest part. You already have. Just drop me a note to say “I’m ready to get out of the muck of my life. Throw me a rope.” I’ll be there.
