If you are serious about improving yourself and your current situation, there will come a time where you have to face yourself in the mirror with a startling recognition:

You are responsible for everything in your life. You constantly create the circumstances that form your life’s reality. Every moment, you make choices based on how you have defined–and continue to define–yourself. Define yourself as “overweight”, and you’ll make choices that keep you overweight. Define yourself as lonely, and you’ll make choices that keep you alone. Define yourself as too busy or too tired, you’ll make choices that keep you busy and tired.

But there is great hope with this knowledge. If you define yourself as happy, at peace, joyful, rich, successful, connected, and fulfilled, and you’ll make choices the keep you in that state of mind. And God has created a universe that responds with a “yes” every time. The challenge is that we don’t always see the “yes” for what it is.

This is the distinction between being spiritually aware or not. Spiritual awareness includes understanding that there is no judgment except our own and that we do not always know what will bring us our heart’s desire. We may think that a relationship with a particular person will do the job. But we do not–and will never–have all of the information to truly know that as a fact. But God does know, and God provides what we need to be fulfilled in every way.

Jesus said that we should not worry because God loves us for who we are and will provide for us beyond our every need. And “The Secret” tells us that the law of attraction is the universal spiritual law that governs it.

We are forced to live only in the present moment while the universe creates our future moments based on how we feel in the present.

One of the greatest tools we have at our disposal is visualization. Visualization allows us to experience our preferred reality in the present moment, and the accompanying feelings that are associated with it. It’s a way of programming the universe to move us closer to what we envision for ourselves and to connect our intuition with the universal energy to help guide us in making the right choices so we can recognize it as we are co-creating it.

Many people use visual diaries or dream boards to help them with visualization. But, using the tools of Neurolinguistic Programming can allow us to accelerate the process by immersing us more fully in the experience. Our conscious and intuitive minds work together when as many senses as possible are used at the same time to create an immersive visualization. Sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch are all important components and need to be used together as much as possible.

Creating mind movies is an exceptional way to harness the power of your computer as a visualization tool. I’ve been using mind movies for a while now and have had great results. It can take a little bit of work to create your first one just right and you should not be afraid to experiment to see what works for you. But the rewards can be tremendous. Personally, I use my mind movie not only a visualization tool but also as a part of my daily meditation practice. I’ve found it to be a great way to unify my conscious and intuitive minds toward the same purpose.

In terms of a practical approach, I’ve found that engaging in the mind movie meditation first thing in the morning and right before I go to bed has yielded the best results for me. I’d love to hear your practices and results. Drop me a note and let me know.
